The show has two stages (located at the very centre of Virtual Reality Show London) – these are a place to discover all that this incredible tech has to offer, and learn from some of the hottest names working in VR today. The Show Stages are open to all ticket holders. They will showcase a wide range of applications, with facts & figures, real-world case studies and product demonstrations that give attendees a unique insight into the latest cutting-edge developments… as well as a glimpse at what the future holds for VR technologies.

FRIDAY 21 APRIL — STAGE 01

THE VR BRAND CONFERENCE is hosted by Nicole Yershon and brings together innovators, entrepreneurs, brands and agencies to discuss how brands can best leverage the power of VR to connect with customers through engaging immersive experiences. READ MORE

THE VR WRITERS ROOM LIVE SESSION will bring together experts and thought leaders from across the VR and entertainment industries to discuss the future of narrative design and creative storytelling for immersive entertainment formats. READ MORE

13:55—15:10: ENTERTAINMENT & BROADCAST CONFERENCE

THE ENTERTAINMENT AND BROADCAST CONFERENCE will be hosted by dock10 – one of the top production houses working in modern broadcasting. Presenting an extensive project that dock10 is currently working on, this incredible case study will highlight the processes and skillsets involved in creating world-class VR entertainment material. Their presentations and panel discussion will also address the current state of adoption and innovation within entertainment, highlighting the importance of audience-awareness and planning within a production, and presenting short and long-term predications for the use of VR within the broadcast industry. THE VR ENTERTAINMENT & GAMING PANEL will address the current state of VR entertainment, with a particular focus on gaming applications. Looking at basic functionality, right up to world building and narrative, it will explore the opportunities and challenges that the industry currently faces, as well as looking to the future of VR gaming. READ MORE

16:30—17:00 STORYTELLING PANEL

THE VR STORYTELLING CONFERENCE will present the art of the narrative, addressing the need for strong thematic concepts, character and world building within immersive VR experiences. Acknowledging the need for high-quality storytelling as the next great leap in VR experiences, our speakers will explore the fundamentals of story development, character and plot, with a specific focus on creating strong story experiences within VR. Full details coming soon.

A 360° view of using VR for Charity Fundraising and Awareness Raising, featuring PETER COLLIS, Inition, Head of 360 \ 3D Film \\  Jessica Driscoll, Inition, VR Producer.

11:05—13:00 AUDIO CONFERENCE

THE VR AUDIO CONFERENCE will examine the role of sound within the immersive experience, shedding light on an often-overlooked part of the workflow. Our speakers will discuss the power of sound in narrative, the options for music, sound design and foley (and which to use when), and the importance of spatial positioning when creating a more ‘real’ environment for users. They will also explore audio as part of the VR development workflow, showing how it can influence the visual style and direct the narrative flow if addressed at an earlier stage of the process. READ MORE

THE VR RETAIL & MARKETING CONFERENCE will explore this exciting new frontier, examining how the creation of virtual shopping environments will facilitate an entirely new way to view and physically interact with goods from the comfort of our own homes. In THE VRE MONETISATION CONFERENCE Matt Hooper from IME will explore the opportunities for monetisation within Virtual Reality Tech. Addressing the current rate of adoption across industries and the opportunities they present, he will look at the next phase of VR development and suggest strategies for creating a successful, profitable business with VR tech. 16:00—18:30 DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE

THE VR DEVELOPER CONFERENCE brings together key individuals working within the VR industry, both in established positions for major companies, and as freelancers.
